Hayi Bethunana is a clothing brand that brings together fashion and strong message .It was started in 2022 by a young, hardworking man named Gift Bozekana.

 He was inspired by his dream of studying at Witwatersrand. Bozekana because he believed that for you to get what you want you must work hard for it.That's why he says, his hoodies are only for “serious courses”.

“The HayI Bethunana hoodie makes me to not forget why I moved from home to university; it motivates me to work harder and be proud of myself” said Nancy Lumka Mseswa a Tshwane University of Technology student that owns one of the hoodies.

The core concept of these hoodies, making education to be fashionable and encouraging those children who are still in high school to pass with high marks so that they can get to university makes the brand to be unique compared to what is already out.

Founder Gift Bozekana  explained that it all started as a littles business where everyone was allowed to buy the hoodie but over time, it has changed.

 Now, only students in what he calls "serious courses "can buy the hoodie.  He's goal is to inspire others t0 study hard so that they can qualify for one too.

 He also said that it's not about judging anyone's course, he wants everyone to be proud of what they study. That positive message is what drawn many people to the brand and helped it gain recognition, even beyond South Africa.
